Sunflower Room

At this stage we focus on preparing your child for school while still letting them enjoy their

favourite elements of nursery. We take every opportunity to build our youngsters confidence in learning and to help them to become skilled in all areas.

Our early years learning follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and we help prepare your child for English and Mathematics at school with Letterland, Phonics and basic numeracy. We also introduce Information and Community Technology to create a positive and confident attitude to technology when they reach school.

Staff Team

My name is Chloe Chiocchi and I will be your child’s key person. I am an Early Years Practitioner in the Sunflower Room.

I joined Auckland House Team in August 2018. I have recent experience in nurseries and hope to put that to good use here at Auckland House Day Nursery. I have graduated from Liverpool Hope University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Special Educational Needs in 2017. I also have a Level 1 certificate in British sign language.  I look forward to encouraging the children to grow and flourish within a secure and happy environment.

As a key person I will help your child to become familiar with the nursery and to feel confident and safe within the Buttercup Room. It is my responsibility as a key person to meet the needs of each individual child and respond sensitively to his/her feelings, ideas and behaviour. As your child’s key person I am also responsible for maintaining proper records of the child’s development and share these with you as a parent/guardian on a regular basis to ensure that your child is being appropriately cared for.

I’d love to hear about everything your child has been doing at home and the things they are particularly interested in. If you have any questions, concerns and ideas please let me know.
