The home school partnership is vital at Auckland for ensuring the continued development and success of all of our students. One of Auckland’s founding aims was to be an independent school that gives more to their parents and families, who gives an alternative and achievable choice to our families. Not only is our fee structure attainable to all, but also the unique way that the school is set up allows for all families to take advantage of the extended provision that we offer.
Each morning from 7.30am until 8.15am, our Pre Prep and Prep Students can attend school for breakfast within the hall and classrooms, this is included in our fees.
At 3pm, the provision within the school changes. As Auckland College is open to students until 6pm, the students are engaged and supervised until picked up by parents. A programme of extended learning and other activities are planned to ensure that the students use this time wisely, as well as an opportunity to wind down after the day in school. Students in the Secondary department have opportunities to stay in clubs and curriculum sessions until 4pm.
We believe in supporting our families, and we understand the difficulty during the school holidays in arranging childcare and so in 2016 we moved to a 51-week opening structure. All students in Pre-Prep and Prep can attend Holiday Club throughout the school holidays where a range of different themes guide the weeks and a range of activities are put on.
