Daffodil Room

At this age, the word ‘why,’ is the one we hear the most, and our staff will be on hand to help them find the answers. This group will be learning to branch out on their own, so we aim to provide them with a path to follow to help them become more independent.

We encourage them to learn to share and each child’s development will be monitored by their ‘key person’ who they can turn to for help and support whenever they need it.

My name is Amy McHugh and I will be your child’s key worker.

I am an Early Years Practitioner in the Daffodil Room I  joined Auckland Team in September 2017. I have a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care and Level 2 in Childcare.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I live with my parents and my brother and my sister. I love visiting my nan and spending time together.

As a key person I will help your child to become familiar with the nursery and to feel confident and safe within the Room. It is my responsibility as a key person to meet the needs of each individual child and respond sensitively to his/her feelings, ideas and behaviour. As your child’s key person I am also responsible for maintaining proper records of the child’s development and share these with you as a parent/guardian on a regular basis to ensure that your child is being appropriately cared for.

My name is Lacey Connell and I will be your child’s key person.

I am an Early Years Practitioner in Daffodil Room.I have started working in childcare in 2011 and joined Auckland House team in July 2012. I am a level 3 qualified practitioner and I adore working with babies and young children.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my partner, family and friends and I am currently buying my own family home and looking forward to building a future with my partner and planning to have my own children soon.

My name is Megan Clarke and I will be your child’s key person.

I am an Early Years Trainee in Daffodil Room.I joined Auckland House team in July 2017. I am currently working towards gaining my level 2 in Childcare at College. I have always had a passion for working with children from a very early age, and I would like to pursue a future career in working with children.

In my spare time I love to spend time with my family and my dogs.
