Park View Tuition


was developed in Princes Park Mansion by Owners Anthony and Gillian Akaraonye.

The Tuition Centre


moved to Welsh Chapel (Bethal Welsh Presbyterian Church) on Auckland Road Wavertree.

1993
1995

An 11 Year Old Pupil

suggests the name of the school be Auckland College, after the street the school was on.

Auckland College established

at the Welsh Chapel and is registered with Ofsted. There are 60 students on roll.

1996
1998

Interest grew

by word of mouth, Leading Anthony and Gillian Akaraonye to look for new premises for Auckland College.

The School Officially Opened

as a Senior School with 120 students on roll at the current Parkfield Road site

1999
2001

The School Continued to Grow

with over 300 students in its Senior School

Miss Boyd Joined

Auckland College as an NQT

2006
2007

Auckland College Obtained

Its Tier Four Sponsor Licence. Enabling International students to receive high quality education in the UK. This status has continued to this day.

Auckland House Day Nursery

opened at the Parkfield Road site, its first room being the old school canteen opposite the school office. It had just 5 babies.

2010

Auckland House Reaches Capacity

Interest in school places grew, leading to Auckland College Preparatory officially launching.

Pepperberry Day Nursery

was opened by owners Anthony and Gillian, in Wilmslow.

2011
2012

Pepperberry Gains Outstanding

from Ofsted and reaches full capacity.

Pre-Prep Department Launches

for children from ages 3-5 at Auckland College

2014

Wrap-around Service is Launched

by Gillian and Katie Craig (Assistant Director of Finance). This enabled families to leave students in our care for 51 weeks a year.

Pepperberry is Recognised

for its contribution to charity and helping in the community, resulting in its community award.

2016

Pepperberry’s Pre-School is Opened

by Olimpia Malaescu (Director of Operations), preparing children for education at the highest level.

John Moores University

appoints Co-founder Anthony Akaraonye to the board of Governors.

Pepperberry achieves

its Millie’s Mark accreditation

Ofsted’s Outstanding Grade

is achieved by Auckland College, and is well-deserved.

2019
2019-20

Celebrating 20 Years

of service at the Parkfield Road site and that the school has supported Nursery pupils right through to Senior School.
