Auckland College Independent School sets out to provide an education of the highest quality, which allows every pupil to reach their academic and personal potential in a safe, happy and stimulating environment.
It aims to prepare pupils to enter the world as individuals, fully equipped with the skills needed to be successful and happy in both their careers and personal lives, whilst making a valuable and long lasting contribution to the wider community.
Our school was founded in 1999 and was previously situated in the Allerton area of the city. The school’s name comes from the street we were situated on and was chosen by one of the school’s first pupils. The school’s conception and ethos were in response to a growing view from many parents and concerns regarding the trend towards large-scale schooling, on big school campuses and large classrooms.
In our school we focus on the individual attention that children might receive in a smaller classroom environment, as well as ensuring that students can effectively socialise in school, in comparison to large scale schools where this is not a key feature.
We are extremely proud of our school building and grounds. Strategically placed in South Liverpool, we are situated on main bus and rail links, we have access to and from all areas of Liverpool, as well as being on the edge of Liverpool’s beautiful Sefton Park.
Many comment on our school buildings’ size and how we are able to house a successful nursery school and an Outstanding school on the grounds. Using innovation and forward thinking, we are experts at making the most of everything; the grounds, the buildings, classrooms….and our students.
